I don't know exactly when we met but
I knew you before
Sort of
We had seen each other around
We had had conversations
We made each other laugh every time
But one day I walked into a room
And there you were
And I felt like I didn't know you
But you were the only one I knew
So I sat my things next to yours
You didn't know what to say
So you just said "hey"
We talked about our classes
We talked about sport
We didn't know we'd see each other
Everyday for almost three years
I knew we'd grow closer
To where every time a story began
You'd say " I know,I was there."
But when I walked into that class that morning
I was halfway awake
I was feeling lonely
And then I saw you
I didn't know it
But I'd be awake three years later
Thinking about you
Feeling lonely
At Three AM

But What is a Feminist Really?
There are times when I get fed up
With red and blue
Left and right
With picking a side
And being cast aside.
Sometimes I think my cries will never be heard.
My punches will never be felt.
There are times when I just love everything.
I am the ultimate humanist, almost to a fault.
I love humanity and therefore
I am in love with equality.
I do not see myself above anyone
But I am definitely not below anyone.
I am in love with my body.
My womb will never be a weakness
It's the thing that makes me strong.
If you don't have one that's fine.
Because you are still you
And that's all I'd ever want you to be.
Despite what I said I will admit that I am a Libertarian
But you are free to think for yourself.
Because the truth is, these things don't define us entirely
And being this thing doesn't mean you can't be that thing.
There is no one right way to live life.
But if I have a say in anything
I would say to live it to the fullest
Live life without absolutes
No matter who you are.
Black, white, man, woman
Just live and love and never hurt
Unless you had no choice.
I am in love with the spirit of humanity.
Despite the wrongs and faults
I can acknowledge positivity in imperfection.
It's a positivity I have to share with everyone.
Come out come out wherever you are!
Come out come out whoever you are!
I am a fighter for freedom and equality
I have strengths and weakness
Just like you
I am a Feminist
What are you?
With red and blue
Left and right
With picking a side

What are you?
Things Unsaid
You've always had such perfect hair,
I've always been a little jealous of it.
You have my absolute favorite voice on the planet.
Sometimes I think I've lost myself in the marvels you your existence.
My two favorite things to listen to are your tangents and your laughter.
I have terrific trouble controlling myself around you.
I don't bother holding back on my riots of giggles,
But the hardest thing to do is be so close to you
And not reach out and grab you.
You're so unconventionally adorable
To your very deepest core
And there's no way I could ever have enough of it.
When I'm around you I forget about everything else going on in my life.
I wish that feeling could last forever.
I don't that to say I no longer love you,
I mean that I wish our time together was endless.
I wish I never had to leave.
I wish I could still spend every morning with you
Laughing and ranting and being so in love.
I wish I knew everything everyone said was true.
I wish that every car that pulls up in my driveway was you.
I wish I had enough courage to tell you these things when I was there.
I wish that I wasn't this scared of losing you.
Until an act of G'd brings us back together,
These will just have to be things unsaid.
I've always been a little jealous of it.
You have my absolute favorite voice on the planet.
